Time is the essence

I am taking my time in writing these fun ideas for your and your friends to enjoy.  So please try a little first.  If you have tried any of these games, please let me know how it went.  Pass on my blog to them so they can also share in the fun. 

If you have a special event, or would like to impress someone/s let me know and I will let you have more party games ideas.  PLEASE REMEMBER THESE GAMES CAN BE ADOPTED TO SUIT CHILDREN.

Fun With Booze...Games to play when tipsy!!

Game 1 suitable for 5 or more players

Draw Me: you will need: paper and something to write with, 1 picture frame.

Gather guest and seat around the table, all get some paper.   Players will be told to draw a self portrait.  Count down from 10 when you reach 3 tell them that they will have to draw with the hand they don't usually use.  So if your left handed you use your right hand, if you are right handed you use you left hand. 

Think of the end result, abstract art or what!!!  The prize is a framed self portrait.  The worst attempt has to allow everyone to paint him or her at some point during the party, all at once or individually.

Ice Breakers

Who Am I: No limit of players

You will need: score sheet, something to write with and baby pictures.

Each guest brings a picture of themselves when they were a baby to the party.  The pictures are pinned to the wall, in teams you have to guess which face belongs to who.  The winning team is the one who guesses the most correctly....all those winkles and pretty hair all gone who am I??

Collect The String: 10 or more Players

You will need: string, scissors

Cut lots of pieces of string and place them in different places in your house.  Gather your guest into pairs, the pair that collects the most strings and tie into the longest lenght is the winners.  Remember to set stick time limit on this one...



Dare I Say: 10 or more Players

You will need: Pins or good strong tape, card, something to write with,

When your guest arrive have a blank card pinned to their back. As they mingle, they must write a 2/3 word description of the person on the card.  Be yourself say it like it is: dull, boring, fun, sexy.....After 20 min the players read out each others cards.  Just think? do first impressions count????



Earth,Water,Air: Suits any amount of Players

You will need: People, and more people

Ok...gather everyone and they all sit in a circle except one person, who stands in the middle of the circle.  Whilst in the middle that person shouts commands, pointing to anyone sitting.  They shout EARTH, WATER or AIR.  If Earth is called the person must name an animal, If AIR is called the person must call a bird, if WATER is shouted a fish must be named.  By the count of 3 make sure you have answered!!!  If you don't well you have a swig of GIN and take the centre.  If FIRE is called, the person who is being pointed at remains silent.  The same animal, bird or fish cannot be named twice.



What's In The Bag

You will need: Lots of small objects, something to write with, paper bags

Easy pizzy, find lots of object and put them in the bags, seal them, people can be very nosy.  Don't use sharp objects or liquids...Ok place object on the table the more the better...your guest have to guess the objects, for instance, a paper clip, thimble, hair pin etc....Your guest are given a certain amount of time to guess the content, (15mins is enough) the winner is the person who guesses the mot objects. 

Ok these are some of my ICE BREAKERS....they are all fun and will definitely make a good start to your party.   Although I say Adult Party Games, use your imagination and try some for the kids,....fun fun fun.

Adult Party Games

I was thinking lately about having a party, but not sure where to start.  I decided to write down what I thought it would be like.  I made a list of:

Music

Food
Drinks
Guest
Cutlery
Furniture

Then.....I became stuck when it came to the entertainment.  Magician, singer, pop idol???? P.A.R.T.Y G.A.M.E.S.. I was getting excited thinking back of all the fun I use to have before Wii, Sky TV, Internet..etc..back in the 80's, (3 TV channels). 

So I planned, and the dream became reality,  I had fun, fun, fun, at my party.  So did my guest all 30 of them.  We still talk of the fun we had, and the memories when we played games has a child.  Now in our late 30's early/mid 40's, kids, mortgage, some with partners, some without...the laughter was needed and was appreciated. 

So I will share my experience and hope that you too can have a party to remember for a longtime.  Have one every month, every 2 months, 6 months, 12 month...trust me there is enough games in my blog.
